Hello.... I am looking for information about the honeymoon rooms at the Grand Floridian. My brother is staying there for his honeymoon and was wondering about them, any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

We stayed in a MK view Honeymoon room on the Clarendon level. It's not the octagon one, but the one with the whirlpool bath. It had a king sized bed and a small sitting area. We opted for this one because it had a balcony. The octagon shaped rooms are beautiful with either a view of the MK or of the beach and Poly and a small sitting area as well.

Well, there are the jacuzzi honeymoon rooms on the 2nd floor, and the turret rooms on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floor. I'd go with the turret room if you can go without a balcony, but if not, then take the balcony & jacuzzi. :) Really, it's a win-win situation. Be advised, though, there are 9 jacuzzi rooms, and only 6 turret rooms.

Thanks so far I believe they want the one with the Jacuzzi.....

Just a warning - it isn't a large Jacuzzi. It's more like a "little larger than standard" tub with whirlpool jets.

We stayed in the octagon honeymoon suite on the 5th floor with a panoramic view of the lagoon and the magic kingdom, etc. It was awesome with the room surrounded by large windows.

I can certainly vouch for this room and would do it again.

I didn't realize that this was considered a honeymoon suite. My husband and I just returned yesterday and that's the room that we were assigned to. I thought it was probably one of the most beautiful rooms in the entire resort. The views were incredible and I didn't miss the balcony at all.

I stayed in the same room cinderella37 told you about. It was nice to have the private hallway for couples only. :) And the view of the castle was great! :)

Hi.
We stayed in the jacuzzi tub room with balcony (not turret room) inside the main building. We renewed our vows for our 10th anniversary and had this room. Here's a few pictures.

Enjoy!GF Honeymoon Room

We actually stayed in both types of honeymoon rooms on our honeymoon. The first night was spent in one of the regular shaped rooms with the jacuzzi tub and the remainder of our stay was spent in a turret room. We strongly preferred the turret room. The regular shaped room didn't seem very different from a regular room at the GF, and in fact seemed like it might've been a bit smaller. The jacuzzi tub was very small--pretty much like a regular tub with jets. We did have a castle view, which was very nice, and a small sitting area. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to take photos of that room. My review of our turret room is in the link in the post above this one, and suffice it to say that we loved it! :)

Elisabeth,

Did you request the octagon shaped room ahead of time? Or, did you ask for it after you got one of the regular honeymoon rooms? During our stay in 2002, the RPC had a tough time getting us an octagon room. It was available only one night of our five night stay (in the middle of the trip) so we didn't take it. I was really looking forward to staying in one of those rooms but I suppose it must be a popular request.
