Grand Floridian Dining questions!

We're considering staying at the Grand Floridian this May...big splurge trip! I was looking at some of the dining options there and have some questions... :)

I notice there are two options for the 1900 Park Faire character dining...Cinderella's Dinner and Alice's/Mary Poppin's Dinner. What will be the difference in character appearances between the two? Besides the obvious Cinderella at one and Alice and Mary Poppins at the other...but would Cindy appear at the Alice breakfast and vice versa? Is the breakfast or the dinner more popular?

My other question is about Gasparilla Grill and Games. Is this the only CS available at GF? Is it any good? Is it open 24 hrs?

Thanks everyone! :goodvibes

I can only speak to Gasparilla Grill. It is the only CS at GF, and it is open 24 hours. DH and I love it, we went there twice during our January 2009 trip, once on our first day at the GF, the second time on our last night to go back to get what we had on our first day - the Southwest Chicken Sandwich. And we were surprised with a great view of Wishes as we sat inside at our booth with our sandwiches and a beer on a very, very cold January evening. It was fantastic, we loved the location, and they piped the music from Wishes into the restaurant.

We are making a point of going back there on this upcoming trip one afternoon for lunch for, you guessed it - the chicken sandwich! It's spicy, has cole slaw on it, but you can get the cole slaw on the side, and then an additional side with the sandwich, and if you're on the DDP you get a dessert (we stuck to the chocolate chip cookies, just delicious!)

Have fun, we love the GF (and CSR where we're staying this trip).

There are two character meals offered at the Grand Floridian. The Supercalifragilistic Breakfast, and Cinderella's Gala Feast at dinnertime.

The Breakfast generally has Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh, and Tigger visiting and runs from 8am to 11:30am. At dinner the possible guests include Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, Drizella, and the Fairy Godmother and is offered from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.

There is no crossover time for any of the characters to visit at the opposite meal, and as always the characters are subject to change with a whole lot of people noticing.

Both the 1900 Park Fare breakfast and dinner are great fun and both very popular. In my personal opinion, if you're only going to do one, the dinner is the best. The Wicked Stepsisters and the Evil Stepmother are an absolute hoot! Cinderella and Prince Charming are perfectly in character. The food is quite good and the bread pudding is to live for (why die over bread pudding?)

Thanks for the responses all, the CS sounds great and I think I might try to snag a reservation for the Cinderella dinner! The step-sisters would be a blast!:thumbsup2
