what do you guys think of this resturant? Wondering if they would be able to make the pan roasted chicken breast with out the “mushroom jus”

They have some good dishes there. I think they'd serve the chicken without the jus provided they aren't cooking it from a pre-packaged portion.

There are definitely better places to eat on property, but GFC is fine. We've predominantly done breakfast there, and only dinner once, but they have always been willing to sub for us. I'm a mushroom hater and have ordered numerous items at disney sans them with no trouble. Though be careful what exactly you ask for. One time I ordered a dish at Narcoossee's with the mushrooms on the side (for my daughter who is infinitely less picky than I) not knowing they literally had a side of mushrooms on the menu. So not only did my dish have mushrooms in it, but we ended up with a $15 side of them too.

We eat here every Christmas and have always enjoyed our lunch/dinner. Two of us always used to have the surf and turf burger (topped with a lobster tail) which was to die for but alas it was removed from the menu last year. Not sure what to try this year. We're going for dinner on Christmas Eve, and IMHO there isn't anywhere more beautifully decorated at Christmas than the GF.

I didn't like it. Our food was cold and soggy, and it took absolutely forever to be served. I had read reviews that mentioned long wait times for food and I wondered how long it could be. It was long!

We really enjoy GFC. It's usually not crowded, it's pretty, and the food's always been good. Their shrimp and grits are AMAZING, like one of my mom's fav dishes at Disney. I would necessarily go out of my way to go there, but if you're staying at a monorail resort and want to hop over real fast, it's a good choice.

I have only eaten breakfast and lunch, but all my meals have been good. I have had to wait a little longer than expected on occasion, but I have always had very good service in regard to substitutions, trying something new, and being provided with to-go items without even asking our server. When staying at the Grand, I always have a few meals here.

I would not plan to go completely out of my way to dine here and try a dish, but if I were staying at the Grand, or looking for a quiet solid meal before or after MK, I would seriously consider it. I have enjoyed it more than Kona at the Poly and the Wave at the Contemporary.

We love the GFC! Our lunch was fantastic and they had no problems altering the meals for my allergies and my dbf's preferences. :)

I've gone twice for lunch and loved it both times. The sunny, open feel, the excellent chicken caesar salad, the wonderful server. It's a great place to escape for a couple hours from a hectic day in the MK.
