I know breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe is good, but how is the lunch????? :)

Lunch there is wonderful...an absolute must-do for my family. We go the the MK in the am, take the little boat which goes directly to the GF (and then the Polynesian) and have a wonderful relaxing lunch. They have a nice variety of offerings...salads, sandwichs, and entrees and every one that we've tried has been good. Our custom is to stroll on back to the Polynesian but it would be easy to hop back on the monorail if you wanted to return to MK or go on to Epcot.

We got back a couple of weeks ago, and had a great lunch. DS and I both ordered a sandwich with ham, turkey and tomatoes, covered with hot Boursin cheese. It was fantastic! We should have split though, even though he is a healthy 17 year old eater, because neither of us finished it, and we didn't have any room for the desserts which looked great. I highly recommend it.

We love that sandwich, too. My daughter orders it each time we go. She's a tiny 16 year old and manages to eat half or 3/4 of it most trips. However the first time she tried it she ate the entire thing!! She was probably 9-10 at the time. We couldn't believe it as it's huge and she has a little appetite usually.

Thank you for sharing your GF Cafe lunch experiences. We can't wait to try it!

DS had the open face Chicken Parmesan sandwich and DH had the Earl of Sandwiches (the open face club with cheese sauce)... they both enjoyed their meals. I have no idea what DSi and her DFi had, but I know they enjoyed it. DM and I on the other hand had a wonderful meal/tea at the Garden View Lounge

The Earl of Sandwich. Yum.Must have on our visits there.By the way,did it come on Foccacia bread? When we were there in July, they served it on regular wheat bread. It just wasn't the same but still good..Just wondering if they ran out that day or changed it.Asked the CM and she didn't have an answer.

Sorry ...DH says he doesn't remember the bread his was served on (this was in May)
