How is the Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch? Thinking about going there while my girls are having Tea with Alice. Just noticed that they have reuben on their menu as does the Plaza. Anyone have a ruben preference. Dont know if I want two reuben sammy in a row for lunch. So any other feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks again!:wave2:

We just ate there in April and LOVED it. It's just a nice, quiet atmosphere and they have great food. Make sure you get the chocolate fondue!!! Soooo good!

Just made reservations there for lunch when we arrive on our first day and I haven't heard much about it.

I just went in May for lunch while my daughter was at the tea party and it was great. My friend and I were both on the deluxe dining plan, so we had appetizers, entrees and dessert and were done by the time the party was over.
I really enjoyed the food also! The french onion soup was delicious and I had the sandwich with the boursin cheese (can't remember the name of it).

I used to work at the GF cafe and let me tell you, I never liked Reuben sandwhiches before I worked there, but I crave them from the GF cafe now. They are sooooo good. I didn't like the one at the Plaza at all, bread not as good, not as much meat, ect.

I dont know about lunch but if teh breakfast we had there saturday is any indication, i would definately recommend eating there

I have a lunch reservation there, so I'm glad to see the good reviews.:cool1:

We've eaten lunch there quite often. IMHO, it's a Disney "hidden gem." Try the Reuben and/or the Grand sandwich, you won't be disappointed.

This is one of the most underated restaurants at WDW and probably the best place for lunch in my opinion.

Yay! I am really looking forward to this lunch! thanks so much for your feedback!

We ate there in January while my daughter attended the Wonderland Tea Party. I lamented the lack of dining choices for us, but it was actually quite good. My husband had the crab cakes, and then the Grand Sandwich (the one with the boursin cheese), and pronounced it the best sandwich he ever had. He RAVED about it.... I had the tomato soup, which was very good. For my entree, I had the pasta which was pretty flavorless, though. It's a nice dining space and very close to the Wonderland Tea Party. The little mini-desserts were cute.

We loved it. I think it is really underrated. It's very airy and pretty, the service is great, and the food is excellent. It's not fine dining, but it's definitely a step up from what you'd get in the sit-down places in the parks or even at Downtown Disney, for example. Also, it can be a nice break from the parks if you are travelling from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom or just wanting to get out of MK. We didn't have reservations for breakfast and we're still able to get in very quickly.

I also agree that it's underrated, and probably my favorite lunch spot of the restaurants in the MK resort area. You can get an ADR if you want, but tables are almost always available for walk-ups. The staff is friendly and professional, and seem to take pride in their restaurant (which is rare enough).
