Grand Floridian Cafe Reservation

We have a group of 4 coming down for Marathon Weekend in a couple days and have dinner reservation Saturday at Grand Floridian Café around 5:30pm. We just found out that two friends that live locally are making a day trip in to visit and want to join us for dinner. Of course, the only 6 person reservation available isn't until later in the evening and won't work with our schedule. If we arrive early for our reservation, what are the chances that they would be able to seat us as a party of 6?

Try for a two person adr around the same time and ask to be seated together. You may have to wait a bit but at least you know everyone is guaranteed a seat. And try the day of, lots of times open up same-day. All that being said, if it’s not too busy they may accommodate the extra people but you never know.

I agree with the previous poster. I think you are going to have difficulty getting a reservation at most places for 6 people.

All you can do is ask, it will depend on the seat availability and reservation count the day of your ADR. If they are booked too tight probably not, but this time a year at a restaurant that doesn’t always fill up you have a decent shot of them working with you.

I third the idea of adding an ADR for two, at least you know you’ll have the chairs available if it does fill up. That’s the only thing I can see preventing them from accommodating you.

Thank you all for the input! I was able to grab a reservation for 2 within 15 min of the other one. I will still keep my eye out for a reservation for 6, but at least we have it just in case.
