Grand Floridian Cafe or Kona?

Which do you guys think has better food? Or do you recommend another resort restaurant on the mk monorail? Ohana is booked so that's out.

This would be for dinner.

We are trying to eat somewhere before our Extra magic hours in the mk that is in a resort.

Kona has some character to it and is closer to the monorail (negligibly) than Florida Cafe. It is also more fun to wander around the Polynesian than GF.

I really like Kona better, I've been to both a few times. The wait staff is about the same. The food is good at GF but I like the type of food better at Kona and I think it has better quality/taste too.

Kona wins for breakfast and lunch but GF wins for dinner

I have eaten at Kona on my past two trips and loved, loved, loved it!

We had a variety and loved it all!

For dinner, I'd choose Kona for the sushi bar alone. I'd probably still try to squeeze in the Grand Floridian Café for another meal, though. It's wonderful for lunch and the breakfast menu looks fantastic too.

Kona, definitely Kona. They have a more diverse, original menu than the GF cafe. The service, food and atmosphere are all wonderful, and the desserts are amazing.

The worst meal I have ever had in WDW was at Grand Floridian Cafe. It is the only time I ever thought of returning all 4 meals served that night. We love the food at Kona but the atmosphere can be quite loud.

I think Kona is excellent. Both Kona and GFC are better than Ohana, IMO.

Kona for the food, GF if you want a more relaxing meal, especially brkfst. Food was good at both but Kona wins.
