Grand Floridian beach pool

Hi,
Does the grand Floridian beach pool have sand on the bottom of the pool like the beach club. My husband loves stormalong bay. This is our first stay there. Is the beach pool the main pool there?

No sand.

The main vs quiet pool is weird at GF. The pool with the slide and where the kids activities occurs(Beach Pool) is by the DVC property and smaller like a quiet pool usually is. And the bigger pool, usually the feature pool, is much quieter with no slide.

Right now, the courtyard pool...the more quiet one..is closed to those staying at the DVC villas

Member Services assured me today that was open for my stay next week. Never mind… Member Services still denies there is a fence built.

Does anyone know if they plan on opening the splash area at VGF? It was under refurbishment and apparently you could use the poly splash area back in February. Just wondering what the status of all that was.

Courtyard pool closed for the NBA. Member services manger didn’t know anything. Told her it was on ABC TV. She said she doesn’t watch tv

Yes. You can call recreation to reserve it in advance. It appears to only be available for all-day rental right now. We called last week and were able to reserve one and the price was a little more than $315 for the day.

The Beach Pool (nearest the DVC Resort) is a zero entry pool, which is great for kids.
