1) When we eat at Citricos, we start at Mizner's.
. . . we check in at the podium
. . . we tell them we are at Mizner's
. . . they come for us when our table is ready *
2) At Mizner's
. . . we get there by 5:00pm
. . . the orchestra is just starting
. . . I get my Manhattan, she gets wine
. . . we have the nuts
. . . we order something light from Citricos
. . . after 2-3 drinks, table at Citricos is ready (6:30-ish)
* Citricos gives you the buzzer-thingy to alert you that
the table is ready. I always tell them to just come and get us.
The hostess always complies. This is little more classy than
answering a buzzer (which is fine for Applebee's, but we will
not do at a fine eatery). It also tells the hostess that you are
a different kind of customer, AND, that she will probably
get a tip for escorting you - which we always do. (If one wants
classy attention, one should expect to pay for it.)
