Which would you choose??

Here are some details.

5 night stay in May 2025 (will be over Memorial Day, 25th - 29th)
We will be at Boardwalk Studio Villa for 7 nights before
2 Adults and 2 Kids, ages 6 and 9 at time of travel.

We would be getting a Studio Villa at Beach Club or a Resort Studio Villa at Grand Floridian.

I've never stayed at either.
I'm leaning towards GF because it's close to MK and we are already near Epcot and HS at Boardwalk the week before, BUT because it is Memorial Day we may not be in the parks as much if it's busy and will do a couple of resort days instead or visit Disney Springs for meals etc and am thinking Beach Club may be better for this.

Having this info what would you choose?
Beach club is a little cheaper but GF is on the monorail and can walk to MK.

I would go GF because Stormalong Bay (amazing pool at Beach Club) will be closed for refurbishment during your stay. Plus it allows you to have a MK resort during your stay. Good luck!
Oh wow I didn’t know about the pool
That makes it a much easier decision ☺️

I have been to GF many times over Mdw. I love the option of 2 different pools/ quiet or loud.

It’s fun to mono hop for dining too! After 3pm the launches run from WL to CR and the launch that goes from MK to WL/ FW make for more options.

I think that a split stay between a monorail resort and an Epcot resort is the perfect option. You can walk into three parks with this split. :)
Totally agree with this recommendation. The easy proximity to certain parks during the split stays can be a big plus. And as mentioned above, with Stormalong Bay pool closed, BC loses some of its appeal temporarily. It's likely to be hot and pool weather in late May.

We just stayed at Grand last month. We would 100% choose BC. We love. the BC/YC area, rooms, pool and unfortunately were pretty underwhelmed with Grand.

ETA: Didn't realize the pool would be closed. As a matter. of principle we will not pay full/close to full price for any disney resort that has major amenities down during our stay, so I guess we'd do Grand, but really I'd look at Poly or CR to see. if one may be more appealing.

We would stay at the GF even if SAB were open. The grounds are beautiful and just sitting in the lobby is a pleasure. Also, you are so close to MK.

GF. You’ll get your fill of EP area at BWI.

I wouldn’t be too worried about crowds. Holidays that aren’t major don’t seem to draw huge crowds at WDW. You can google up crowd reports from this year to get an idea of what you might be facing next year.

I really don't like the theme or anything about CR, Poly lost its appeal to me when they got rid of the luau.
I've decided on GF, we would normally do Boulder Ridge but I want the 5th sleeper for my youngest as my two kids just fight at night now sharing a bed.
