I'm planing a mabey trip to disney world for september 2013 and i was wondering what thoughts you may have on staying on the club leveal? I've looked at the food oftering they have and they look verry good. I would also get the dinning plan but the one that has two meals per day, There isn't too may two table sevice resturants that i wish to eat at. Also i'm not really what one would call a big eater. I've never stay at the grand and would verry much like to stay here

Which GF CL are you cosidering as there are two.....Royal Palm Club (which is in the main building) and Sugarloaf (which is in an outer building). Having stayed both, I loved RPC but didn't care too much for SL. The food offerings are the same, but I found the SL lounge to be chaotic and cramped as the lounge is small and is located right inside the lobby of the SL building. The RPC lounge, on the other hand, is very spacious with plenty of seating, IMO. Plus it's great sitting in the lounge listening to the music playing in the lobby and the CL CMs in RPC are amazing!! My choice would be RPC, but if that wasn't doable and it was a choice between SL or a GV room, I would choose a regular GV as I didn't think SL was worth the extra cost, but that's just my opinion.

The royal palm club main buliding. I saw a viedo of sl and i did not like it. I mean if i'm going to spend over five thousand for a seven night stay i want it to be worth it. I also live having that coffe maker the one that makes a cup at time and i could bring starbucks. Thanks for your input. Did the food offterings fill you up and did you eat at the parks. Because i was thinking about getting a dinning plan

We will be staying at RPC at GF next week and have stayed CL in the outer buildings before. We have also stayed CL at the Poly. I would say that, other than breakfast which is continental style, the food offerings on CL level are more snack, dessert, hors d'oeuvre types of offerings. You could fill up on them I suppose, but if you plan on park touring, I am guessing you won't be coming back to GF everyday at lunchtime, dinnertime, etc. For instance, if you are all the way in EP, I doubt you would want to go back to the GF CL lounge just for something to eat for lunch?

That being said, I would give the dining plan a try if it appeals to you!

Thank you now i have decide witch plan would work for me. I was thinking about the plan that has two meals a day. I would have breakfast at the grand and then other meals in the park

We have stayed at the GF RPC many times and SL one time, and JMPO I would never do SL again. After RPC, SL just doesn't compare. RPC just has a whole different feel and vibe than the SL. We also do the DDP (1 TS, 1 CS & 1snack) PP per day and it works out great for us. We are Starbucks Via (Italian Roast) drinkers and I bring them with us as well. Since you are looking at September 2013, most of the construction should be done by that time. We also do the TPV rooms (#3403, 4403 & 4404) which is looking out at the marina and the castle.:cloud9: I couldn't get the TPV room for our trip next month but that's ok by us. Just as long as we are staying RPC is good enough for us.

Below is a picture from our RPC TPV #4403 room. Take a look at the GF thread. The ladies over there are very helpful. Happy planning.:flower3: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2718331&page=240

Oh I am sorry. TPV is Theme Park View. I am thinking everyone knows the lingo. Yes, it is a beautiful view especially when the castle is changing colors at night time. Just heaven.

I've never stayed at GF CL, so I can't speak to that, but I have stayed Poly CL many times, and I think whether there is enough food for you there depends on the type of eater you are. My parents, brother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, cousins, and I almost always found that there was enough food for us to eat breakfast, dinner, and dessert in the lounge, and then in the middle of the day we just grabbed a snack or QS meal to go along with the cookies and drinks, but we are not big eaters in general (never eat apps or desserts with any meal). Of course, if you don't like what they are offering for that evening then you are out of luck ;)

I know others disagree with me, though, so like I said it really depends on how much you normally eat :)

I understand and agree. SL wasn't bad, but it just wasn't what I thought it would be for the money. The food offerings, IMO, are great and I could get full on them and I have made meals out of the offerings, but they really are meant more for appetizers than a meal replacement. With that said, my DH and DSs wouldn't survive on just lounge food :sad2:.

I agree. Even though RPC is expensive, being in the main building can't be beat, IMO :).
