Grand Cayman Beach Question

My DH will be doing the Atlantis submarine excursion, and I was thinking of taking my Dtwins to the beach. What beach do you recommend? I have read on another site about people who went to hotels and used their beach.

You can easily take a taxi to 7 mile beach right off the tender pier. There are taxis there to take you back to the ship. There may be other beaches but I don't know about them.

7 Mile Beach is wonderful - ask the taxi driver to let you off at the Holiday Inn - they have a snack/drink place on the beach, chairs and umbrellas. The taxi's are waiting right there when you get off the beach to take you back to the ship. We paid $4 pp, per way and it was about a 10-15 minute ride.

Thanks for the info. You don't have to pay to use their facilities at the Holiday Inn?

In July, 2002, they did not charge any fee to use the beach or the chairs. It was a perfect location, beach was spotless and water was beautiful and calm. We are definitely planning to go back to the same area next August.
