What's the likelihood of a studio being available for 3 nights (Wed- Fri) at the beginning of June at the 7 month booking window? It seems like the Grand California books fairly quickly. TIA!

I'm 3 for 3 at 7 months:

Early May - studio
Late September - studio
Early August - 1 bedroom

One downside for you is checking in Wednesday. Do you have enough points to book arriving Friday or Saturday and then cancel the days you don't want? I always book arriving those days and have been fortunate. A lot of people check-in on Sunday.

It is doable. Get up early and book when the online opens at 8:00 a.m. on the dot at the 7 month window. To ensure you get the room, if you have enough points, book the day or two before and get the whole reservation, for example book June 1 to 5 and then afterwards, revise your reservation to the dates that you want. I would check the resort availability a few days before.

Thanks for the info. I am actually renting points so I will be relying on the owner. I have rented from her in the past and she has always been quick to make the reservations- hopefully that continues.

I'm three for three as well in addition to a couple of random one night trips with reservations made at about 5 months out.

This morning was my first time being up and ready at 7 months and I did get a 2BR in April (but after Easter) starting on a Wednesday. My other stays I have always booked more last minute and had luck either immediately or via the waitlist.
