Hiya all!

We are planning on staying at the GC in July and was wondering what the differences between the views are? Has anyone stayed in the rooms, if so what are they like? Any and all information would be great.

Thanks

Michael

The standard views look out on the parking areas or the interior courtyards. The Downtown Disney view looks towards...Downtown Disney. :) The theme park views overlook California Adventure from varying distances, some are right over the park and from other rooms you view the park from over the GC pool.

Hope that helps! :)

I stayed in a standard room with a view of the Grizzly Peak area last January and I really liked it. The view was great, especially at night when the park was closed, but the lights were still on. They do turn the lights off at some point, but I didn't pay attention to when. I thought the rooms were very well insulated from noise and didn't hear a thing from the park when the sliding door was closed. Once it was open you could hear the music and yelling. Another reason I liked the Grizzly Peak area view was that the monorail ran right past us.

The standard room was a bit on the small side, but was nice. We had two queen beds, a small table with two chairs and a beautiful armoire. The vanity area was separate from the toilet and tub.

I would stay there again if I ever have the chance.

We stayed in a park view, we could see Grizzly Peak over the other wing of the hotel, and standing on our balcony and turnning to the right we could see the Sun Wheel and Paradise Pier in DCA. However, I think we would have been happy with any room! Even the parking lot is nicely landscaped!

We completely fell in love with GC, if you do stay there, try and take some time for the hotel tour (about an hour, once every afternoon).

We stayed on the 4th floor with a standard view looking into the courtyard. It was still great. That hotel is so magical that I don't think its necessary to pay the extra money for a thempark view, unless money is no problem.
They turned down the beds every evening, left chocolates, a morning paper and really nice lotion, soap, etc. I thought the room was ok sized. I knew not to expect a suite when you pay for a standard room.

True, and I didn't pay for the view. We booked our room through Expedia and in the request area asked for a themepark view room if possible. We got it without paying any extra. We went during the off season which is why we probably got it.

That's great!! I did ask if there was any free upgrades at checkin but no there was not. Oh well maybe next time:rolleyes:
