Grand Californian - Standard View Requests?

Hi! We have a reservation for a standard view room at the Grand Californian. From what I've read we will either be looking at a parking lot or an inner courtyard? I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for room requests for this category? Or any tips or suggestions? I wanted to book a Woods View, but there was no availability for our dates and I really didn't want to spend $400 more for a theme park view unless you think the upgrade is worth it? We really just need a quiet room. Your thoughts on the Grand Californian are greatly appreciated!

I stayed in a Standard view. It was just above the lobby and with a view of the main entrance area, where you can see the cars coming in and the valet parking guys working.

The view was "ok", but it was really nice to be above the lobby so close to the stairs and elevators. No long walks

The inner courtyard views can be cool if you get the ones where the Monorail goes through it.

...We really just need a quiet room...

GCH rooms are quite well insulated from noise, but you might want to request a high floor.
