Grand Californian Restaurant Recommendations??

I will be going in next week and staying at the Grand. Does anyone have any recommendations for a solo diner ? Thanks !!!

The Grand Californian is at Disneyland - therefore I will move this to the Disneyland board, where you may get an answer faster.

I think all the restaurants at the GCH are wonderful. Napa Rose is a very special upscale dining experience. Storyteller's Cafe is wonderful as well, and wont be quite as expensive.

Napa Rose, in GCH, is the top restaurant in the entire resort, and therefore it's very expensive. But it is soooo good. They have "chef's counter" seating, where you are seated at the counter in front of the kitchen, and some of the chefs will introduce themselves to you and chat, answering questions about the kitchen, your food, whatever. This would be a very good option for a single diner, as it gives you something interesting to watch. They're not intrusive, though. You would want to call the restaurant directly to make PS's 30 days out, and ask to be seated in one of the seats 4-8, I believe-- those put you right in front of the action.

(it's post #74, and far down the post near the end) It was really a wonderful experience. To be fair, though, I've read a few reports of others here who didn't find it so fabulous for the price.

Storytellers is OK. I really didn't care for Napa Rose Sorry! I wanted to like it but really didn't. Whitewater Snacks is a good choice for nice food at a great price. My choice for solo dining would be room service and eating on my balcony.
