are “club” services back?

“premium” room - what are the chances of getting a TPV vs a pool view room? DD has a sensory disorder and loud pool noise will be a nightmare for us. (Thinking of going end August for 5 days for my birthday!)

Any special events going on 8/31-9/5?

thank you!

Haven't booked a Premium Room at the Grand before, but have booked both DTD and Woods/Courtyard views. We have certain areas that we prefer and if we haven't been lucky enough to score that particular view/wing of the hotel at check-in, I always politely ask if there are other rooms available in "this" wing or with "this" view. They have never not be able to accommodate us - even in the summer months. I think being polite, patient (sometimes it takes awhile for them to juggle the reservations around) and grateful for them even "looking"...goes along way. In your case, adding the very reasonable explanation you provided above should be no problem to get you into a room that would suit better than a pool view, if that's the luck of the draw. :) Have a great birthday trip!

Club services are back! We stayed concierge level from 8/14-8/18. Can confirm that everything was pretty much the same as when we’ve stayed pre-pandemic.

We just stayed there and had a partial view of the pool. We heard no noise at all. We also didn’t hear any noise from our neighbors. No shower, walking, or even toilet flushing. We also had a room up from the lobby and didn’t even hear the piano music. I was amazed how quiet it was. You could hear it all with the door open but once the door closed. Nothing.

We just returned last week. We had a theme park/pool view. They had us facing the pool and we requested a theme park view upon check-in. She did a quick search and found us a lovely room (5410) facing Grizzly River Rapids. It was lovely but we did hear a lot of distant screaming from the drop. :)
