Grand Californian question

What are the odds of getting a reservation for a week (studio) at Grand Californian at 7 months the 3rd week of June 2012? Anyone have any prior success? How far is it from LA & Universal?

We got a 2 bedroom for mid June at the 7 mo mark last year. I scored the GCV for the week after Thanksgiving at the 6 mo mark for this year.

LA and Universal are about 30ish miles away but that can mean 45 min to 2 hours travel time depending on what time of day and what day of the week you're driving.

Friday and Saturday's seem the hardest to get at the 7 month... we have to waitlist for them. Good luck!!!

I didn't try for a full week but last June got Sun-Fri and this year got Sun- Thurs. We DVCers love weekday points.
