Grand Californian Pool

Does anyone know how crowded the pool at the Grand Californian gets? We'll be there from 7/11-7/17. Do they have bracelets or something similar like they do at the Beach Club so that only hotel guests can swim there? We plan on spending a good amount of time at the pool and I hope that we're not going to have a hard time finding chairs.

Also, is it a themed pool? I wasn't able to find photos anywhere.

The pool is open with plenty of lounge chairs, paded I might add. I think there is a water fall and slide. The beach is steps away. Water felt warm to touch. Very nice!

WOW! I was thinking GF not GC. Sorry, no beach.......still a nice pool. There is a gate and key required. The theme is the same a the hotel the rock/redwood deal. eww my bad, sorry.

There are 2 pools at the GC. The one with the slide is bigger, but usually mostly has kids in it. The other is more of a "lap" pool, and for the most part is used by adults. They can get crowded. I think the pools should have been bigger, or separate one for adults.
Two hot tubs, but they didn't restrict those to adults only, either, so the little kids get in alot. There is a small round wading pool for tots.
I know that any Disney Resort guest can use the pool at the Disneyland Hotel, but I don't know if that's the same for GC. You need your room key to get into the pool area, but the gates aren't always locked.
I can't imagine anyone from the Disneyland Hotel walking all the way to the GC just to use the pool, when the GC's is nowhere near as nicely themed.

According to the Disneyland site, only GC guests can use the pool at the GC. (PP & DL Hotel guests can use each other's pools - just not the GC.)

The pool is themed ("Craftsman" style - the slide is a redwood tree) and we preferred it over the DH pool. It was more open and the adults could find a spot with shade to sip our drinks and still have a great view of the pool and our kids. Although I was very impressed with how well the lifeguards keep an eye on the pool.

Only GCH guests can use the pool.
