Grand Californian at 7 months?

Starting to plan a trip to DL next summer, preferably the first week in June. What are the odds of booking a 2 bedroom (we're a family of 5) at the 7 month window? Specifically looking to book weekdays.

We are 5 for 5 booking VGC at 7 months and have always done the 2BR

If you can be online right at 8am eastern on the day your 7 month window opens and have everything loaded and ready to go you should be fine. I usually do a "trial run" for a few days prior, just to make sure my clock and DVCs are synced

2 things to keep in mind:

1. As a family of 5 you will fit in a 1 BR. There is an additional bathroom and then a sleeper sofa and a day bed in the living area, so the 1 BRs accomodate 5 nicely. We actually used one for a few days for our family of 6 (1 kiddo was under 3 at the time) and it was fine. We had booked our stay in a 2 BR and then decided to add a few nights and only the 1BR was available. I had waitlisted the 2BR and was a bit worried when it never came through, but the 1BR was great and a lot less points

2. If you can be a bit flexible with your dates, a few days early or later, you shouldn't have a problem getting the length of stay you want.

I don't know about June, but there is a thread here somewhere about average availability on studios and some 1 BR (and it had vgc 1 br). My experience has been oct-Dec forget about it, but in September and January, we were able to book on our non vgc points.

Once you select a resort, and room type, you have 20 minutes to complete the reservation and not lose it. Some members just had the adults names or even just your own name to make sure you get it all completed in time and then add the others via email to MS.
