We are considering purchasing points at the GVC with one option giving enough points for my wife and I to stay in a studio for a week and another option with points to stay in a one bedroom for a week.

For those who have stayed in both are the one bedrooms significantly better than a studio or would the extra cost not add much value?

Thanks!

We've stayed in both, most recently in a 1br spring break. The studios are really nice, but yeah - the 1brs are that much better. If you can afford it, go with more points for the 1br. Once you try one, you might be spoiled to go down to a studio.

I think VGC has the best/nicest furnishings/design of all the DVC resorts, and that includes VGF (though we've only stayed in a studio so far - 1br stay coming in Oct).

The VGC 1Br's are NICE! I'd agree that if you can afford it they are very nice to stay in.

Ill be the contrarian here and say that my husband and I do not find enough value in the 1 bedroom to book that instead of the studio.

We are fine with a queen bed and don't need the king bed in the 1BR. We are fine with a kitchenette and don't need the full kitchen in the 1BR. While the second bathroom in the 1BR would be nice, we don't need it. The in-room laundry is nice but is not worth the difference in cost.

From the other posts, you can see that others value the amenities in a 1BR more than we do. It's a matter of personal preference. -- Suzanne
