Grand California Resort Jan 15-17 - need reservation

I'm doing a very last minute trip to DLR with my lovely BF to celebrate a new job! We are flying in to LGB Friday night, leaving Sunday evening. I want to stay GCH for the location, time saving and because we are hotel snobs but there are no rooms due to holiday and convention.

I'm a longtime DL/WDW lover by my boyfriend isn't. Hoping to make this a nice adult trip (previously we've gone with the little one) to show him another side of the magic

If any of you are holding a reservation but planning on canceling, please contact me! Meanwhile, I'm calling the Disneyland Resort Reservations lines all weekend and hoping to grab a room that has just come available. Any other tips are welcome! Thank you!

Just got off the phone with reservations - waited a whole 2 hours and called again Got a standard room at a great price, and am now doing the happy dance because I'm going to Disneyland :-D

Even though we're only going for 2 nights, I went with the 3 day hopper because of the special going on now. Plus, we can sneak a whole 2 hours in to our arrival night. Given the expected crowds this weekend, we're going to need it I'm sure!
