Grand Calif - cancellation chance

any one have any history of getting a studio there for 1 night on short notice. We don't care what day September 18-20 and have wait listed 2 options but wanted to get some thoughts. Also if they cancel my wait lists at 7 days am I totally out of luck that last week.

No, but you would have to call MS and hope that you called at the right time to catch a cancellation. Odds wouldn't be in your favor, but you could get lucky. Hope you get something before then.

Yes yes! I couldn't believe how lucky I was once when the exact dates I needed were the ONLY ones available for the month. Just keep trying!

VGC studio just opened up on website 4 nights in a row Sept 15-18 if that helps you!!

In May I booked a one night stay in a studio just two days before! It showed as available online but I had to call Member Services to actually book it, they had to call the resort direct to confirm it was really available. It even turned out to be a Theme Park view!!!

I was on a waitlist for December 18-19 for a studio(we were in a 1 bedroom) and were already booked for the 19-23. It came through today. . Good luck! It can happen. However, they only have 48 rooms, so it's a bit of a long shot...
