Grand Beach Resort

It is very easy to get to WDW, and it is close to the entrance by Downtown Disney. I don't think there was a shuttle any where. I think they had maps, but since I belong to the AAA, I already had an Orlando map which helps a lot.
Grand Beach was a nice quiet resort, and there wasn't much pressure to buy (we were guests with my stepmothers points). There were brochures in the lobby, the pools were nice, not spectacular.

We felt the worst part was that there wasn't a traffic light at the entrance, so most times when we were leaving, we had to go right and enter Disney property thru DTD, when it would have been better to go left and make a quick right to get on a main road to WDW.

When you exit the resort, take the side service road that runs to left, follow it all the way through the Buena Vista Suites parking lot and then you can exit a right and continue straight onto World Drive.

We had a 2 bedroom which we did not like it was a little small, a/c was very noisy, no tv in the extremely small 2nd bedroom. No security when we were there and a few cars had been broken into, so make sure you don't leave anything in the car overnight.

Have a great time!!!

We stayed there last Sept and will be there again this Sept. My parents own a timeshare there. We had a 3 bedroom and had tons of room. Our only complaint was that the carpet was dirty and our feet would be dirty. We were in the Phase 1 units which are older. My parents liked the phase 1 unit a lot better than the phase 2 ones. Hopefully this year it will have new carpet or at least clean carpet. It has changed ownership since last Sept. It used to be a Sunterra property and they were bought out by Diamond Resorts. Somewhere I have pics of the condo from last year. Pm me if you're interested in seeing them and I will try and find them.

We stayed there in 2006. Other than the fact that the carpet and furniture in the living room were old and a little dirty we thought it was fine. It was roomy and the bathrooms were nice. The grounds were pleasant and we had no issues as far as driving to the theme parks. And they didn't bother us much with the time share sales pitch thing. They called once, I politely said no thanks and that was the end of it. I guess the only real complaint I had was that the bathtub faucet in one of the three bathrooms broke an our second day. We called right away but they never fixed it. It was not a big deal because there were two other full bathrooms. It looked as though they might have come in and worked on it while were were out one day but they never actually fixed it nor did they call or leave a note regaring the status of teh problem. We didn't pursue it because we didn't really need that third tub/shower anyway. It was just kind of annoying the way they handled it. But all in all we enjoyed our stay there and I'm sure you will too!

We have booked an RCI exchange at Grand Beach for President's Day week, but will be arriving the week before, and would like to pay a reasonable price for a stay at Grand Beach for 4 nights, in exchange for a timeshare tour. We have stayed there twice before, but never have taken a tour, and never have been asked for a timeshare tour. Now that it is a Diamond Resort, does anyone have any info how I would contact them about arranging a 4 night stay at a good price in exchange for the obligatory tour ????

We have stayed there twice before, and liked the room of the 3 bedroom units. Yes, it is somewhat outdated, and the pool is nothing special, but the location is real good so we like it.

Thanks for any input any of you have.
