Hi
Was wanting to hear any experiences with this, I was thinking of signing my 6 yo up and hadn't heard how others had liked it.

Thanks!!

My 2 DDs did this in 2000. They had a marvelous time. They were just shy of 5 and 8 at the time. I have the neatest pictures of them in their chef hats and hand-painted aprons standing in front of those classic cars out front.

That was a definate "cool" thing to do for them. :cool1:

My daughter did it last October (she was 7) and had alot of fun, but she was a little upset that they didn't actually cook.

They made dirt & worms, which is pudding with crumbled oreos & gummy worms.

I have read in the past they have made cookies, mini cheesecakes and other desserts, but recently it sounds like alot of kids have made dirt & worms.

Maybe someone else who has gone recently can confirm what they made.

She loves to cook and think she was expecting to make something else. :confused3

Don't get me wrong, she had alot of fun and the personalized apron & chef hat with Mickey ears are priceless souvineers.

:flower: ,

I signed my 6 and 9 year olds up for this for our next trip. Before I booked I asked how people had liked it and got only positive responses. I have also read that they do not cook anything that would require a stove/oven. I was happy to read this. I figure that is one less thing for me to worry about. This will be the first time I have left them on their own while on vacation.

Oh, yea, that would be a little bit of a bummer. Now for a 4 or 5 year old, they probably wouldn't care. I think my girls made the mini cheesecakes, I can't remember. But overall, I think it is a great idea.
