I stupidly made a 2 night reservation at the Gran Destino tower, club level, for me and my daughter, thinking it was on the skyliner.

How is the transportation for Gran Destino? We'll be going to the MK one day and Epcot another day, before heading over to Rivera for two nights for a split stay.

A few years ago it was very easy to get an uber. Is that the case still?

I LOVE Gran Destino!! You do have to rely on buses but I haven't found that it is inefficient in the past few months (stayed there in January and March). Uber/Lyft is pretty quick and easy to use on property, and we use it often, but I would not recommend it for Magic Kingdom since drop-off is at the TTC.

We are at GDT now. Bus transportation is great, although they are packing people in like sardines again. The most we have waited is maybe 30 min.

For parks, GDT #1 bus stop is the last p/u and drop-off (order: Casitas #2, Ranchos #3, Cabanas #4, GDT #1). So there is a chance you could be entering/exiting a full bus, which is why some GDT guests will walk over to bus stop #2 Casitas. However, we have not needed to do this. And that is with cheer groups here. No issues getting a seat, other than at Epcot last night due to rain. One positive is that CSR is fairly close at the Epcot and MK bus stations.

We Lyft instead of Uber. It’s been very efficient and picks up right outside GDT. But like the above poster mentioned, I wouldn’t use it for MK (TTC).

We just got back yesterday. Busses are the only option but ran great! They have bus arrival times on the app that you can check before leaving your room. Makes it so easy! kind of a game changer IMO. Only drawback was it took 10-15 minutes to go the 4-stop route around the property loop, which you’ll have to do either to or from a park. I didn’t see any Ubers, but then I wasn’t looking for them.

What dd and I do is head for bus stop. If you find out you just missed one we book ride share. If ones pulls up or arriving soon we take the bus. That has been our strategy for all resorts. What IS nice about GDT is that time from room to bus stop is quick !

DH and I did a stay in Jan. When returning from parks he preferred to get off at bus stop 2 and walk to gdt. You get to see the grounds, grab what you need from the lobby and back before bus if you don’t mind extra steps.
