My son received his "you're in" letter yesterday for Fall '09. He got Custodial - not his first choice but he is thrilled nontheless to get in!

I am a compulsive planner. So, I am wondering what graduation is like? I've seen the photos of Mickey and Minnie in their caps and gowns. Is it just a short ceremony? Where is it held?

The last day of his program is January 8th, so is that likely the day the graduation ceremony will be? Do a lot of family members go?

We live on the West Coast so it's not a quick trip to get there. But I will be there if it is a "must-do" for family.

Thanks! :dance3:

Graduation for Fall is usually in early Decemeber before the Christmas rush begins. It is not a cermony; it's a picnic at a Cast Recreation area. You can get pictures with Mickey and Minnie, play games, and get your mickey ears. I did not see anyone's family member during my graduation but I'm not exactly sure.

I am pretty sure others are not allowed to attend the party. I think its just that - I know there are dates available the kids can choose from (to work around their work schedule). They do get Mickey graduation ears and there is a Photopass person there taking picks of Mickey and Minnie with the graduate. I told my daughter she "had" to do it because I wanted the picture although she was planning on it anyway.

Family/friends are not allowed at the graduation- it is for CPs only.

And it's not really a ceremony. CPs are given their graduation ears and certificate, there is a BBQ, a DJ is there, and Mickey and Minnie (and usually Donald and Goofy) are there for pictures.
