So I graduate high school in a few weeks and i have no idea what i'm supposed to wear underneath that gown thing.

I mean I've been told a dress and thats it.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I wore a simple black dress.

This is it from Victoria's Secret.

I don't think they have it anymore or at least I didn't see it when I looked. I really love the dress though. It's simple but cute and never out of style.

I'm going to wear a sun dress as well. It's true- no one will be able to actually see what you're wearing.

No one actually sees it, but when I graduated I wore a skirt and a dressy tank top. Those gowns get HOT HOT HOT, so dress cool!
Congrats!

I totally wore a tshirt and shorts. It was hotter than hades that day and its not like anyone could see what was under my gown anyway. During line up I was talking to some of the people near me and most of them were casual under the gown.

Yeah the important thing is to actaully WEAR something under the gown...2 years ago at my graduation there were a few who didn't wear anything under it, and we had to give the gown back at the end.

Girls are required to wear dresses. No jeans or pants of any kind allowed. I just didn't know if a sun dress would be appropriate. But I kinda realized i don't care if its appropriate or not. I'd rather stay cool in this California weather then look fancy underneath my ridiculous gown.

I just wore a simple dress from Old Navy. We had a SUPER strict dress code: girls HAD to wear a dress and black shoes, guys HAD to wear a light colored collared shirt & tie and dark colored dress pants (no light khaki) with dark colored dress shoes. If you didn't comply, you didn't graduate. Seriously.

I wouldn't wear anything super fancy - a simple dress would be fine. Those robes are HOT. Our graduation was inside, but it was still incredibly hot. I don't think I would have survived if it was outside in the 100 degree heat.
