Graduation Gift question..

My son just graduated from high school so my gift to him was going to be 100 points that he can choose with a friend or two how he'd like to use them...

I am wondering though..am I able to book for an 18 yr. old? ..Is there an age restriction?

if anyone has had some experience in booking for a young adult or if you know the guidelines, can u please share ... thanks ...

Nice gift! Your DS is very lucky.

FL restricts check-in's at hotels (including DVC) in FL to those who are 18 and older. So your DS, so long as he's 18, should be able to check in w/out a problem. His friends need not be 18 (for purposes of the law, anyway!)...just the "lead person" on the reservation.

Had this issue when my DS was 17 and 10 months and I had a business emergency pop up that would delay my arrival by a day...but Disney/DVC could not allow DS to check in w/out me because he wasn't 18...two months later and it would have been fine...it worked out, but that's how I learned that this is a FL law...

My DD went with 3 friends, she was 17 and DVC put her friend who was 18 as lead person on reservation and ME bags were sent directly to her friend. It was fine and they all had a blast!

We give our children a graduation gift of bringing friends with us on our trip. We are in the treehouses now celebrating DD2's graduation from HS. Last years was DD1's graduation from college. Each time they brought friends with them. I am blessed our children still like to hang out with us. And I still want my disney vacation.

We're planning on doing something similar for our DD's graduation from high school next year. We're looking at getting a treehouse villa.
