Hello everyone,

I'm taking my brother on a 7 night Caribbean cruise for his high school graduation. ( along with a professional trombone since he is going to major in music education ) I just had a few questions that you good people might be able to answer for me.

(We previously went on a 3 night cruise to the Bahamas)

If we bring our own snorkel gear do we have to pay to go in the snorkeling area at castaway cay? (We rented their gear last time)

With this many nights the restaurants have to repeat, do they change up the menus?

We are flying for the first time, normally we drive. Is it pretty easy to catch the bus from the airport to port canaveral? Is there anything I should look out for?

Thanks a lot for any help you guys can give me. :)

Don't know if you were saying you're bringing the trombone onboard, but musical instruments are on the prohibited list.

You can bring your own snorkel gear to use on the island.

Generally, the first 3 nights onboard each dining room has it's own Signature menu. Then the other 4 nights the dining rooms all serve the same menu, based on the theme for that night (Prince and Princess, Pirate, Captain's Gala, Til We Meet Again). So, every night you will see a different menu. Some items may seem to repeat, but the menu is basically a different one each night.

DCL transfers from airport to ship are $35.00 per person one way. You can add those when you make your reservation, or at any time up until 3 days prior to the cruise.

Lol not taking the trombone, just the other thing I'm giving him for graduation.

You can bring your own gear. I'll be bringing my Scubapro fins with me on my upcoming trip. The only caveat is that you have to wear their inflatable life vest, but I believe they do not charge you for it if you take your own gear.

RE: Snorkeling at Castaway Cay - they will make you use one of their Buoyancy Compensators (Life vest type of thing) - but those are free of charge.

RE: Trombone - wow you are a good brother. We got our son a very nice Trombone Jr/Sr year of high school. Spendy!! He was in several bands and ensembles in college. Almost spent more time with music than his engineering classes (well no not really). He was not a music major or minor, but really enjoyed the music. Been out of school for 4+ years and it's been than long since he played.

I hope that you and your brother have a great trip!! ::yes::

RE: Buses from MCO to the Port - very easy, very frequent.

Don't know where Duckburg is exactly, but I hope that you are considering flying in the day before. Air travel is fraught with delays!!!

I actually live in middle Tennessee and have to take a plane from Chattanooga to Atlanta to Orlando. We will have to fly down the day of because it's the day after his graduation. We normally drive because I have a terrible fear of heights but I couldn't see a good way around it this time.
