What do we do when we drive up? Do we park at the self park and then walk to check in? I think valet is a little too expensive, since we won't be using our car. Also, are the patios private on the ground floor? Thanks again.

Drop off the luggage and the person checking in then go and self park by the time that person gets to the lobby you should be ready to go to your room. Patio's are as private as balcony's ask for an end room if you only want one neighbor.

Even if you're not using valet, you can still drive up to the entrance and unload the luggage. The self parking lot is located across the street, so it is a pretty far walk.

All patios and balconies are private, you will not be sharing them with anyone. You can still see your neighbors if they are sitting on their's though.

Not on ours - we had wooden dividers between the balconies, and couldn't see our neighbors (see pic below). Of course, you could *hear* them, but that was fine since they were family.

tlbwriter, what a great picture. I should have been more specific about what I considered private. You're right, they do have that little divider up between the balconies.

Self parking at the GF is a long, long way away from the building, doubt if you want to haul your luggage all that way. It is quite a hike.

Self parking is ridicuously far away! We planned to self park till we drove down, saw that it was across the street and it was about to pour any minute, then had to reenter at the guard stand. Took a few minutes to convince the guard that he had JUST seen us and yes we were on the list. He must have thought that we had lsot our minds, plus they were repaving part of the driveway and there were yard men with leaf blowers every where. I haed the cost of valet but it was very nice when we arrived and departed i nthe rain!
