Grad Nites or Special Event Nites July & August 2024

Thanks everyone for the "deeper dive" into grad nights. Great information shared. Thank you!

I was concerned about losing park hours but it looks like some posters experienced a few other issues which detracted from their park enjoyment. Glad that Grade Nites should be over by July & August as 1 poster pointed out.

1) How can you find out Grad Night schedule?
2) Does Disney post it on their website? Does it show up on the website's reservation schedule?

To be frank, I would be pretty "miffed" (to put it mildly) to discover that I reserved for a Grad Nite only when I arrived at the Parks. I would hope that there's some way to identify Grad Nites so that I could avoid reserving those days if I wished to avoid those days. Visiting Disneyland is a very expensive trip for our family. Wished we could do it yearly but the reality is that there's several years gap between each trip and each trip becomes successively more expensive. ☹️

If you book a reservation on a special event/party night, you will be informed via a notification in the app and an email, but not until like a week prior. We have tomorrow booked and got notice last week that Disneyland would be closing early at 9 for the Pride Night event. I knew about it already, but felt like that was kinda late notice for guests who don't follow as closely.

The easiest way to tell is the closing time. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Disneyland ALWAYS closes at midnight and DCA closes at 10pm for regular hours. Party nights will close down DL at 9pm and DCA at 9pm as well.

You can also just search for Disneyland special events or parties on Google and you will get a list. Next ones to beware of will be Oogie Boogie Bash.

That's lame. By that time, people have all their plans in place--vacation time from work, flights, hotels. It would be a real hassle to change plans at that late date.

The dates are posted, just not on the main site (as far as I know). This is the direct link to the page, for 2023 anyway (not sure if they edit that link each year in some fashion): https://www.disneycampus.com/programs/field-trips/dlr/grad-nite-disneyland/
