grad nights

we are going the end of april 06. noticed that grad nights are the 29-30th. How busy is it those nights?

I believe at least some parks, like MK, are closed to the general public on Grad Nights, at least I'm pretty sure it was when we were down last April. The worst part for most has been the noise. We just stayed at the campground on grad nights and had no complaints.

Having gone as a chaperone for grad night about 8 times I can give you a little information. The MK is closed to the public on grad nights. They close the park and completely clear it out before admitting the schools. It is then open all night for the participating schools. Once inside no one is allowed to leave, and as there are no on site guests no boats or busses are running for the MK.

Other than the MK closing early, grad nite should not affect your visit.

I went to Grad Nite a couple years ago, still got my disney cup, mickey ears, and picture frame, and god knows what else I bought, ohh and of course a t-shirt.
It's treated like any other special event, like the christmas party, night of joy, halloween party, They shoo every one out and let the seniors have a run of the parks. I know they close it about 6pm, so don't plan on watching Wishes those nights. And even though they got a bizzillion concerts and such going on, I don't think the noise should be much of a problem out at the campgrounds.
Since they're running about in the MK all night, it won't affect any hotels since they bus them in, in the afternoon and bus them out right afterwards. Crowd levels should be at normal levels.

You're posting this on the camping board so I thought I'd say that we always go during Grad nights for some cursed reason and you can hear the fireworks in Ft.W clearly during this time. I would assume you can also see them.

Grad nights never affected our crowd levels, what it did was kick us out of MK early.
