I know I saw this in an earlier thread, and my search feature isn't working (nor are my eyes!!! ) When are grad nights this year? Trying to figure out park hours and adjusted MMs. Thanks!!

So what can we expect on Grad night days? Late openings? Early closures? Really busy?
I suppose I can expect there to be a bit of noise throughout the night?

My cousin went to Grad Night with his high school class when they graduated 3 or 4 years ago; he said that he definitely didn't like it as much as when he goes with the family.

Lots of rambunctious teens acting out, being crazy cuz it's their graduation... Not sure if he said that the park closed early to the public and was left open exclusively for the graduating classes, I'll have to check on that, but I'd say that if the park stays open with the Grad kids, I wouldn't wanna go.

From what I understand, DL park closes earlier than normal for the party. The park is open only to high school graduates, and it is open late (maybe 4 am for them?). If the party falls on the night BEFORE a MM, I think the MM gets rescheduled. You'd have to ask a CM to find out when and if this rescheduling takes place. I just wanted to know how many grad nights to expect during our trip. According to the schedule posted above, it should only be one. I can live with and work around that.

Someone will be along to explain with more details and clarity what grad nights entail.

We were there last year during a Grad night in May and our experience was that as the park closed at 8:00 PM, we didn't even see any of the grads until we were exiting the park at closing time and they were coming into the esplanade and we saw a lot of large buses. My understanding is that they actually don't come until the evening and I heard that they go to DCA first We stayed at Hojos and I know that I have read that some people experienced extra noise but we didn't find the evening to be any different.
I expected fireworks as I had heard that they have a show for them but perhaps this was a rumor or they were cancelled due to weather??
All in all, I didn't find it impacted our trip at all.

There will be one during our trip as well. That last night we're there. But the kids will need to be in bed long before park close so it's not a big deal. I just hope it doesn't get too noisey :(

I went to my Grad Night at DL in 2005. We weren't allowed into the park I want to say around midnight or a little before. We left our school really late and by the time we got home it was morning and bright outside.

I believe Disneyland is only open for Grad Night, not DCA. When I went we didn't go to DCA nor did we have the option.

It shouldn't be that noisy where you would hear it outside of the parks. I don't remember if there were fireworks or not though. I don't think there was.

Since May is considered not peak times and those Grad Nights are during the week, I believe the park closes at 8 or 9pm. The nights in June, I'm not too sure since those are summer nights.

HTH!
