Did I blow it being their may 20-24?2 days are grad days? Any advice?

I wasn't going to fix the title but some wanted me too..

Grad mites are horrible creatures!! :rotfl::rotfl2:

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :goodvibes

Someone here will be able to help you with the information you want, but I just had to pop in and comment when I saw the post about Grad mites.

:lmao: That made me laugh too! Nasty creatures:rotfl:
Sorry I can't help you either but if you scroll back through a few pages there have been some discussions about this very topic
Grad mites....:lmao:

Okay...hopefully I do this right this is my first time doing a reply LOL.... I booked a trip once during Grad nights, and it kinda sucked cause we got kicked out of the park by 8 I think? BUT it was only one or 2 nights pretty sure 1 though..... a week....I would call and double check with Disney cause it shouldn't be EVERY night you r there.

This year, I'm not sure that anyone knows quite what will happen. There will probably be more teens in the park during those days, but the parks won't close early, so it will probably be an even trade.

They aren't closing early this year..no one panic!

There might be a bigger attendance of teens tho, the pp is correct.

We're going for 5 days..three of them are Grad Nites.

Since they're doing something new with the grad nights this year, it's hard to really say how it's going to affect things. Hopefully it won't be too bad. Since there are so many of them this year, maybe it will spread out attendance enough to not really make a huge difference?

I've read that they are limiting the number grad tickets to each event (hence the larger number of events). Im going for 4 days and have grad nights on the last 2. But those days are Wed and Thur which are usuall slower days so hopefully all the grad nights will do is make the crowds a little heavier than normal for a week day. But like pp said we really don't know for sure as its all speculation at this point.

Call an exterminator? Grad Mites and Bedbugs are the two things that can make any Disneyland vacation rather tedious, huh?

OP
yes..it's true....you're screwed
as a high school teacher (and one who has chaperoned a fair share of gradnights),.....my advice is to run.....run as far and as fast as you can

I don;t get the allure of gradnights for these kids (and I'm in the LA area) it is expensive as hell ($250!!!) the parks are ten times more crowded than the busiest summer day, and it is LOUD!! I just don't get it. Seems cheaper and easier just to take them during a normal day, especially since we are only 90 minutes away. $250!!

That's either an over exaggeration or incorrect data, or both.

Close to even but I would say better this year.

At least on the hours posted so far, if they don't change the closing are 10pm on Thursday and 11pm on Friday. It may be a normal soft close on weekdays and hard close on Fridays in May.

With the much smaller number of people let in each party, that is sure to help ease things.

Since this year there will be a new format, and that new format has not happened yet, how do you know this?

We are heading to the Park on May 11th and 12th. I am prepared for more kids in the Park on Friday, but hoping the day will not be too bad. I will post when we get home and let everyone know how it was. (I am just happy to be making a little trip to get my DL fix )

Skiingfast Hydro guy

I'm not lying:
It has always been $250 and I don't really know why, I believe because the charter busses are so damn expensive. I will see if I can get the contract or something that says the price and put it up here to prove it to you .

As for the crowds OBVIOUSLY I am commenting on what I have chaperoned in the past with this being a new format hopefully that will be solved, but like I said in the past it just sin't worth it to me.

Not sure how you got to me accusing you of "lying". I questioned how anyone could know that the parks would be extremely crowded on grad nights when the new format has not even happened yet. :confused3

I am so hoping this is the new spam of the week thread , as i am bored and need something to read while on the potty... :lmao:

I think it was obvious I was referring to the times I had chaperoned, the prices were still too expensive then and I think my opinon was valid despite me talking about the "old"format.

and it wasn't you I referring to about calling me a liar
