Grad Night Dates

Does anyone know when the list of closures for grad nights will be posted or where I can find the info. My sis is thinking of going for their first family trip the last week of May. What is typically down, are parades, etc all a go? tia

I have not seen it posted anywhere yet, but you can go to the DLR calendar and look for nights in late May and June where DL closes at 9PM. Those will be grad nights. Looks to me like these are the nights:

May 22 (Thu) possibly
May 29 (Thu)
June 5 (Thu)
June 11 (Wed)
June 12 (Thu)

and based on past experience I bet they will have one more on Thu June 19.

What happens for regular guests? I am not sure. I have only been to the grad night part and not the regular park part.

If you look at the June 2007 schedule here www.laughingplace.com/Guide-Cal-DLR2-200706.asp you will see that there were no fireworks or Fantasmic on grad nights last year (for example, June 7, 2007).

We were there last year during one of the dates and the park closed early at 9:00pm.

Do you think that park attendance is lower on days when they have a Grad Nite scheduled in the evening?

We went last year during the opening week of Nemo, so it was pretty busy during the days. I don't know what it is like usually during those days.

I would guess that on the nights that the park closes earlier, the locals are probably less likely to go out to DL and the only ones there are the vacationers. But, I really don't know.

We will be there Thursday June 5th. That should be a MM day, but I read that they won't do MM on that day. I hope they reschedule it for a day we will still be there!! We will be in the parks Tues-Friday of that week.

We will be there June 19th - the last Grad Nite. It will be our first visit ever to the park, but at least we will have the next day to visit too so we can see fireworks and stay late! Maybe it will be lighter crowds on the Grad Nite day and make it a bit easier for us to tour.

We were there last year during a grad night. I don't think the park was any less crowded because of it, but it wasn't more crowded either (since they bus them in late).

But right there is no MM on those days, and they close at 9pm. It didn't effect us much, we just stayed longer during the day (rather then the usual time we'd go back for a break) and then spent the evening swimming and relaxing.

Looks like we'll have another one when were there on June 5th. Maybe we'll do Universal that day.
