Someone might have posted this already, but with all the parents on this board, I thought I should post this.

July 7, 2005 -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced today a voluntary recall of some strollers by Graco Children's Products. The recall affects about 1 million Duo Tandem and about 143,000 MetroLite strollers sold between 1994 and 2002. The CPSC and Graco recommend consumers stop using these recalled products until a repair kit has been obtained.

Products:

Graco Duo Tandem Stroller

Models sold from January 1994 through December 2000, with model numbers 7950, 7955, 7960, 7965, 7970 and 7980, with serial numbers between 01011994 and 12311999, or model number 7990 with serial numbers between 10111996 and 10311998.

Graco MetroLite Stroller

Models sold from November 2000 through December 2002, with model numbers 6110DW, 6110F3, 6111FKB, 6114HAV, 6114JAM, 6114NGS, 7410CON, 7413CML and 6413MRN.

Hazard:

These strollers can fail to latch properly and unexpectedly collapse while in use. This can result in broken bones, cuts, bumps, bruises and other injuries to young children riding in the stroller and consumers pushing the stroller.

Remedy:

Consumers should stop using these strollers immediately and contact Graco to receive a free repair kit. The kit includes a custom-designed latch that consumers should attach to the stroller's frame to ensure it is properly latched. The repair kit will be available in approximately one to two weeks.

Consumer Contact:

Call Graco at (800) 981-4412 for more information.

Very important - bump!!!

Well, that sure took them long enough. My sister had one colapse on her kids YEARS ago!

I've had many try to run me over they left that out of the recall. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm just kidding, just a little theme park humor. :wave2:

I have one of these strollers. We no longer use it, and never had one collapse on us, but I do remember how hard it was to get the dumb thing to latch when you opened it.
