Grab a cup of coffee, or whatever & pull up a seat...it's another Last to Post!

Good evening everyone.

I can't IMAGINE spending that long washing a car! I barely have time to take it to the hand wash that takes an hour. I'm OK, we went out to dinner, so I'm doing good, no new dishes and I'm nice and full.

I like to take good care of my car and even though it was a long process to clean it and wax it, I try to keep my car in great condition. I just like driving in a clean car every time I drive it.

Bret, that is a long time to spend washing your car. My car has been washed twice (not by me) in the year and two months I owned it. The second time was when I took it to the dealership for the one year service. My service advisor asked if I wanted it washed. I said why not. A yearly bath is a good thing, right?

I know that it is a long time to wash a car, but I like to keep it clean where ever I go. That is a long time of not washing a car in only 1 and two months for only 2 times. Just like I said on the post above is that I like to keep my car clean.

The pics of the food look nice.

Hope Fran gets better Alison.

I rarely wash my SUV as we live on a dirt road making it impossible to keep it clean. I'm always happy to let someone else do it for me.:rotfl:

Has anyone gone to the MiceChat events? I'm looking at the Sept 14th one at the Disney Family Museum in SF...

If you've never seen the Walt Disney Family Museum, you are missing out! It is located on a picturesque spot in the Presidio. Every room of the museum is packed with info, items and photos from Walt's life, from his early days as an animator to his later years at Disneyland.

  • Our special tour starts a hour before the museum opens to regular guests. That means we'll have the whole place to ourselves for an hour in the morning!
  • We are flying in Walt Disney historian and acclaimed author Jeff Kurtti, who will give us an overview of the museum and food for thought as we travel from room to room.
  • Disney Museum guides will be available to answer questions and guild those who would like a little more information.
  • When we are done touring the museum (though we may have to drag you away), we'll have a special luncheon in a private space on the grounds (Lunch is included in our package price).
  • Following lunch, we'll move to an exhibition hall where Jeff Kurtti and Sam Gennawey (Walt Disney and Disney Company historian and author) will lead us on an hour long look at Walt as you've never seen him before, including rare vintage video and lots of wonderful stories. In addition to Jeff and Sam, we may also have some special guests in attendance ;-)
  • When our time at the Disney Family Museum wraps up, we'll board a bus for a 2 hour tour of San Francisco with a couple of stops along the way at some iconic, historic and photogenic spots.

Yes I have been to the Walt Disney Family Museum as well. I am not interested in attending the Mice Chat event, for I live not far from the city and am able to visit often. I love SF!

~~ I love you Phil and you will forever be with me! Forever my very best and most special friend! I love you to no end. ~~

Fran is always embarrassed at our car, especially when we give it to valets. If she didn't constantly buy more stuff than we have room in the house, I wouldn't leave so much stuff in the car!

Angela, I saw that MiceChat excursion. It is also available to folks on the Mice Chat repositioning cruise. They are doing a Napa event as well. If I weren't scheduled to be in Dallas at that time it would be fun!

How much is that?

Will the attendees just argue about what needs to stay in the museum and what needs to go and propose ideas on how it should be better set up?

That would be very interesting to go to the Micechat event at the WD Family Museum.

I have been to the WD Family Museum when it opened in 2009 and it was fun to see so many personal items of the Disney family.

Do you use valets that will wash you car while you eat or sleep or do something else?

I'm sitting in my dining room catching up on the Dis.

I can hear some buzzing noise behind me and it eventually gets to the stage that I'm consciously aware of the noise.

I turn to look....and there's a BEE in my room. :scared1:

I have no idea how it got in the house.

So what do you think I'm doing?

Grabbing my camera.

Bumblebee is a category on the Summer Scav Hunt! :rotfl:

Is that sad or what?????!!!!

Given how allergic I am to sandfly bites it's assumed I'm allergic to bees.
So I'd be sticking to photographing the OTHER bumblebee I can think of.
He is far cuter and more useful ;)

Finally the end of the week....

:faint:

Going to see Brave this weekend.

No, mostly the Valets at the VGC when we park the car for Club events or if we are visiting the park. But we do use them at various hospitals and a few other restaurants because it is a lot easier for Fran to use the Valet than try and park 2-3-7 blocks away from a restaurant. Most places we frequent we know where to park to not need valet, but Long Beach is actually a resort town so valet is offered more often than in most places. We try to avoid it if necessary, but we have to at Disney.

Is this a "dig" on the people at MiceChat? I don't find their discussions all that interesting. Very whiney over there.
