GPS unit like tomtom- anyone?

I'm looking at a couple different gps/navigational units.

The one I like is the Garmin SPI3 - seems to have pretty good reviews on circuit city...

Anyone have one of these fancy things? Know where i can find reviews about them?

I looked at the tomtom but for 1000 bucks its WAY outta my league!
