Govt. Employee Tickets?

Hey guys. Heading back down to the World in May... My dad is a Dept. of Defense employee and I know they can recieve some discounts on stays/tickets and such. Does anyone have expirence with this, or know someone who has bought tickets in the past? Thanks!

Your dad will have to contact his workplaces' MWR/exchange office to see what is available.

We have used the DOD tickets. It was not a huge savings but every bit helps. At our base, tickets have to be ordered and the wait is about 10 days so plan accordingly.

1. He cannot use the Armed Forces Salute tickets as purchase of them is limited to Active Duty Military (including Active Reserve) or retirees from the military.

2. However, through the MWR/ITT office he can purchase three to ten day tickets at about a 5% discount as well as no tax.

He can also stay at Shades of Green but the rate is according to your GS. I found the cost to be rather expensive for my DH's GS level.
