Where is she? I think it's worth noting that whenever there's a hurricane in FL, Jeb Bush is everywhere. You can't turn on the TV without seeing him popping up all over the place, cheering on the volunteers, giving press conferences, pitching in, etc. He is always the face of the relief. Where is Blanco?

I don't know, but I've seen several posts complaining because she's on tv too much and that she needs to knock off the public appearances and get to work.

I heard on CNN today that she's heading to Houston to meet with the "refugees" from her city. Coincidentally, President Bush is heading to the area today and the two will not meet. I'm sure that she doesn't want to be seen with Bush....it's all ridiculous political positioning...

Before you start using Jeb Bush as an example, you should know that we in the Hurricane Charley area are still fighting for the money promised to us to build new schools. We lost 8 of them and Charley was "half a hurricane". We're still waiting for FEMA to pay for the clean up which they already paid for, but since an inadequate job was done, the taxpayers of Charlotte county had to have it cleaned up again.

FEMA sent millions of dollars to Miami-Dade county for wind damage due to Hurricane Charley. There was no wind damage in Miami-Dade from Charley.

What should be painfully obvious to everyone is the fact that there has been a complete breakdown of government up and down the totem pole. Blanco is just one of those stops.
