Gourmet Pantry--OKW

For those of you that enjoyed buying your food for OKW from the Gourmet Pantry, I am sorry to report it is closed. I always bought my food, salads, and sandwiches from the Gorment Pantry while staying at OKW. In January I noticed they changed the place to a sit in shop, but I guess that did not work, this month they were closed but a sandwich shop will take their place in the future.

We also enjoyed the Gourmet Pantry and will miss the nice salads.

The "Earl of Sandwich" will be found in the old Pantry location. I'm sure we'll try that also!

Was the other "side" of the Gourmet Pantry closed as well ? The non-food side that sold kitchen supplies ? I loved this store and used to always stop in every trip. I bought all my trivets, pot holders, salt & pepper shakers etc from here.

They moved all the furnishing to the Disney at Home store, which is not too far from the old Gourmet Pantry. There is a candy store located where the furnishing were sold, separated from the Earl of Sandwich, which is still under construction.

Wow, that was the one place we visited each and every time we went over there. What a shame. How come they seem to close the best places? I guess it will make room for another plush store.

Building a 'Sandwich'
Gourmet Pantry at Downtown Disney® Marketplace is now closed while the space is converted into Earl of Sandwich, a restaurant featuring gourmet sandwiches, salads, hand-cut potato chips, and a variety of desserts and beverages. The England-based company selected Downtown Disney® Marketplace for its first U.S. location. A separate area, which remains open in the former Gourmet Pantry location, sells a variety of candies and sweets. Earl of Sandwich is scheduled to open this fall.
