Gourmet coffee drinkers - your opinion please!

The coffee in the concierge lounge of the Contemporary was consumable, but not great by any means. It didn't matter that much to me because I usually pack a french press if I am going to be gone for more than a night or two.

Disney coffee is not as good as it used to be. It used to be columbian, but I'm not sure what it is now. We bring our own since as DVC members we always have a coffeemaker and I think most of the deluxe rooms also have them.

It says in the PassPorter that the WL doesn't have a coffeemaker in the rooms. I would think that a deluxe resort would have them. Has anyone requested them at the WL and received them? Will I have to take my own?! (I hope the Disney Resort Police from 'Ever take your own microwave?' don't see this. It'll really send 'em over the edge. :faint: ) I like to grind my own. Anyone found a way to do this without disturbing the whole floor (and those above and below you)? I guess you could crawl under the covers and cover the grinder with all the pillows and have someone turn on the hairdryer and the TV. I don't think a simple "Ahem..cough" is gonna do it. Hey, whatever you have to do for that fresh brewed cup! :coffee:

All of the resorts use Nescafe coffee, not good at all. Bring your own coffee and filters too. They do have some really cute mickey styrofoam cups in the room next to the coffee makers. The countries in epcot have some really good coffee especially if you like espresso and cappucino. DBF is a die hard Starbucks snob and he told me that the coffee we had at Ghiradelli in downtown disney is just as good as Starbucks. We didn't get a chance to go to Poly for Kona but have heard great things about it.

The Nescafe coffee they serve at WDW is NASTY NASTY NASTY. It is only good for cleaning out your pipes when they are clogged up. I would bring your own coffee and filters for your in room coffee maker.

Actually, the Nescafe coffee the serve is the best Nescafe I've ever tasted. This must be some premium blend. However, saying that it is the best Nescafe I've ever tasted is not saying very much. As much as it is better than Nescafe instant, it still is worse than any fresh-brewed coffee, anywhere, anytime.

The only decent coffee we have at had Disney was from one of the little stands in the Italy Pavilion. They use an Italian brand (they showed us the bag!)
