Gotta vent for a second!

I've been calling day by day for my December 26 - January 1 reservations at BWV. Up until today, I've been successful getting what I wanted (BW view studio). Unfortunately, I had to work late today and wasn't able to call MS until a little after 3:30PM. After being on hold for 10 minutes, I was told that all BW view studios for the night of 12/30 are already sold out!!! I was very surprised that they're sold out this quickly (exactally 11 months out - wow!). Anyhow, I booked a preferred view and waitlisted for a BW view. I'll be calling tomorrow for the last night (12/31), and hope I'll be able to get what I want.

Argh, I'm very frustrated now. Hopefully since I waitlisted early enough the waitlist will clear, but I'm still frustrated right now.

I called this past monday, and booked 12-23/12-28 (1br S view), and got all the dates in one shot, no problem.

I hate calling day by day, and normaly just wait until I am able to call and request the day I am checking out, and request them all in one shot. I seldom get shut out.

BTW, IMO the chances of your wait list coming thru are 90%+.

I'm not surprised - thanks for posting. This week is one that absolutely requires calling day by day as soon as MS opens.

I forgot to call one morning a few years ago for a SV 2 bedroom for an early December vacation. Remembered a few minutes after 2 pm Eastern - CM told me I got the very last one.

Hope your waitlist comes through - FWIW, I think it will.

Yes, I'm back for the chaos that is NYE. I've been to WDW for every NYE except one since 2001. It's a fun time of year to go!

I won't get a chance to call MS until about 10:30AM tomorrow, so please keep all fingers and toes crossed that a BW view studio will be available then!

I'm not surprised either. A few years ago the same thing happened to me for New Year's eve for a 2BR. The wait list never came through but the CM's at the Boardwalk took care of things so that we didn't have to move from our room. I'm sure it will work out in the long run for you. Don't worry about being on the wait list for the one night.

Once again, I had to waitlist for NYE. I called at 10:45AM today, was on hold for 35 minutes, and had to book a preferred view and waitlist a BW view. I was successful last year with the waitlist, so hear's to hoping for success again this year.

With my schedule the last two days, I couldn't call MS until today to book December 30th and 31st. Was on hold about 15 minutes. We wanted 2 Standard studios, but Standard and Boardwalk were all booked but we at least were able to get 2 Garden/Pool Studios and are waitlisted for the Standard studios.

Now to call the next three days to get our VWL reservations and complete the trip.

Same story here. We called yesterday and snagged a BW SV 2BR for the 30th, but today we couldn't get thru until around noon and all SV 2 BRs were gone. We did get a PV. So we had to switch the night of the 30th to the preferred so we wouldn't have to move on the 31st. We're waitlisted for the SV, and I'm just happy we got in. We've been planning this trip for a long time and we'll just be happy to be there.

I'm not surprized. I called for a standard studio for the 21st of Oct one day late of the 11 month and could not get it. Got boardwalk view though so I am still happy.
