Gotta vent...do people READ things first??

Read previously posted threads, I would be thrilled if they would just read the comments posted within the same thread.

Someone recently posted on another forum on this site, "Does AK seem hotter than other parks"?

I posted early in the thread, that, Yes it was hotter. When it was built they took thermal readings and found out, that the area there was 5-10 degrees warmer year round than any other location on property.

Of course no one read it and the discussion just went on, with comments like Yes it does, wonder why?

Further on someone else posted they thought they had read it was actually warmer there, but could not remember where they read that. :rolleyes1

Muushka,

Your other favorite is one of mine - "what is the best room at this resort?" Like I know if you will prefer being near the elevators or want quiet or what you consider a good view. And like if I say 3421 there is a chance you'd get it.

Just yesterday I read a post where the renter of "reservation" points went to great lengths to explain where they could be used, and several posters still questioned(one even insisted) why the points could not be used at a DVC resort. Sad!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: How could I forget that??? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Strolled back into the "Train Wreck" for a little entertainment, it didn't let me down...

Post for point rental that can only be used in the Disney Collection. Lists everywhere at WDW that the points can be used, and the last line of the WDW section reads: "NOT GOOD AT BCV, WLV, OKW, SARATOGA OR BWV"

VERY FIRST RESPONSE: "Hi, I need xxx points for the BCV, does that count as the Disney Collection?"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I really wish I could make things like this up... :lmao:

Do studios have toilets? And, can I reserve a sink and tub at the 7 month window.

Can I get free dining using those reservation points at BCV?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The free dinning plan is not available to DVC members or renters. It is only available to people booking directly with Disney paying full rack rates. You can purchase the Dining plan for your DVC reservation or rental.

so, what is this DVC thing anyway?
and all these abbreviations BWV, BCV, VWL?? what do they mean.
please help.

:teeth:

Just a few quick questions. Do the 1 bedroom units have windows, and are elevators available if I book at 7 months, or do I have to book at 11 months. At which window can I book windows? Are windows available at the 7 month window or are windows available at the 11 month window, or if I book at the 7 month window will I have to waitlist for windows, or do I not get windows and are windows available in a studio?

Non-rental board, but quickly becoming my new fav...

We're going in [pick a summer month]. Will the parks be crowded the day I'm there?
No, because it's your trip, Disney will clear Main Street for you. The 90 minute wait at Splash Mountain will disappear as you walk over the bridge. Don't plan, just play it by ear, you'll have a great time!

But close on that one's heels...

We're going in August, what will it be like?
HOT!!! Hotter than anything you can imagine. Climb in your oven with a garden hose, that's half the heat and a third of the humidity. :)

Oh, if you are going there, my current absolute favorite....

Restaurant board:

Will I like XXXXX?

(First off "how am I supposed to know, but that isn't the good part").

A number of posts follow. Some people love XXXX, some people were not impressed. Some give good descriptions of what they like or dislike.

Someone comes on with "This is the BEST for EVAR!!!!! It rocks!!!! Everyone LOVES it here."

(Did they completely miss the post two ahead of them where someone's food was cold and not good?).

Thanks for putting in words what I so often thought. Great thread, I needed a good laugh :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Gotta spur it on a bit more... ;)

How's about a few more threads on the theme parks boards about Crocs??

"Where can I buy crocs?"

"What are crocs?"

"Will crocs make my feet stink?"

"What are crocs?"

"If I buy crocs for my kids, will my feet feel better?"

"Will crocs walk my dog?"

"WHAT ARE CROCS???"

Gotta love it... :lmao:

Thanks for the LOL's today - there was a similar thread over on the Cruise Line forum that took an ugly turn and had to be closed... but it was funny.

BTW, is it too soon for me to start counting the days til my 11-month window? (LOL)
