Gotta love those nosy neighbors!

You know the ones... they don't stop to say hello or chat. However, when they see any work being done on your house, they suddenly have the "need" to talk to you and ask what you are having done.

I think it's funny...

Hope this doesn't sound catty but..... I have a neighbor like that. But if she hears a bit of gossip about us or sees something going on, she suddenly has an urge to clean out her daughters' closets and bring some hand-me-downs to my DD!! While I appreciate the clothes, I think it is funny how the timing always seems to be!! Not looking a gift horse in the mouth, however! ............P

P, maybe she thinks that if she has something to offer you, then you'll open up to her about your problems. Who knows?

The one thing that I have noticed about nosy neighbors is that they like to know everyone else's business, but they don't want anyone to know theirs. I guess it's "misery loves company".

I think I'm the nosy neighboor--kind of . I don't talk to my neighboors but I listen (can't help it, they are really really LOUD) and I observe a lot. It's not that I want to stare but I can't help it!! I'll be sitting on our deck or back swing, and they do some outrageous stuff and I can't help but watch, I really can't!!!!

i think i am in the nosy neighbor club too! I have some next door neighbors that are so funny to watch. What would take a normal person 2 hours to do it would take my neighbor 6 hrs. to do. He is just funny to watch!!!!!

I used to have a nieghbor just like that. We never spoke because I got mad at him years before for being way to nosey. But still anytime we had something going on at the house he was right outside eyeing every bit of it.

Oh my gosh!! This just happened to us, too! This weird guy across the street never gives us the time of day unless he wants to be nosey and get the scoop on my DH's latest project. That really annoys me because he is never nice, otherwise!!

One of our neighbors never speaks but when he saw workmen installing a fence he was right over there asking what he thought he was doing. This guy is not our next door neighbor so it was no where near his property.

That's what I'm talking about!

My neighborhood is gossip central and I'm not just talking about people watching what you are doing, that's just silly stuff. The most disturbing neighbors are the ones next door, their reason for getting up in the morning is to disparage and disrespect others. They are very "ugly" folks. You can't even have a brief conversation with any of them without hearing a nasty comment about other neighbors.

So to remedy that problem, I just wave and say hello from a distance. I don't care for people like that.

One day about 3 years ago, I was cleaning the bedroom on a Saturday morning. My bedroom windows were open, and my next door neighbor and the neighbor who live behind me were standing in my driveway talking. I could not believe my ears!

My bathroom is on the third floor of my house. It has one small window which I cannot see out of unless I stand on my tiptoes. I usually kept the blinds open to let in the light as I got ready for work, as there was no way anyone could see in.

Except, of course, the husband of the woman who lived behind me, who apparently spent his mornings in his attic window with some binoculars, watching me shower and dress for work. He had apparently just been caught by said wife, who was now standing in my driveway telling my next door neighbor all about it!

My next door neighbor was appalled...at ME! And I quote: "How dare she do that! Did you call the police?? I would have her arrested for indecent exposure! I can't believe her!"

Um, I can do the jig naked in every room of my house if I want. It's MY house! Every once in a while, I'm tempted to get out of the shower, get a stool and stand on it waving to my neighbor.
