From what I understand the D23 link right now is nothing but an "unorganized" waiting room, basically it's not a queue, just a waiting area for the queue. At 1pm is when you will be assigned a spot in line. Also the Queue-It website claims that you can't lose your place in line, so if you open the website after 1 then close it, you are still in line and will keep that same spot if you open the website again.

There's an argument that hitting it as close to 1:00.00 as possible (ie, as soon as the queue is actually live) will get you ahead of a lot of the folks in the waiting room. (I've seen that work myself.)

Hmm... Maybe I'll keep the computer on and do the phone closer to 1...

It's disappointing to me that they're (apparently) not doing AP first. I think that would have cleared out a lot of the interest, and saved the D23 spots for people with no other opportunity.

I'm also skipping the D23. Thought about it - I like those events - but I'll be there the week before, and it almost seems silly to head back down for one night. (And I'd feel ridiculous if I got a D23 spot and then an AP spot.) If I don't get in the AP previews, I'll just wait and ride it the next trip.

There are a lot of dvc and AP that would do both though so it might not clear out as much as you would hope. Same with dvc and AP people won’t just book one .

I always forget about DVC preview because I think the dates won't work, but either way we will only book one.

I do have a question about the DVC preview. So I have a DVC room booked with points but I am not the the owner. My mom booked the room using her points but she is not coming on the trip. Would I be eligible for a DVC preview or would the actual owner have to be present? I have an AP so if it's a no that's fine. I was just curious

I would think your mom would need to book the event but if your name is selected then you could show up without her but she would take up a spot from someone else since she isn’t there

Thanks! That's kind of what I figured. None of the other people I'm going with have an AP so if I do get a spot they can't come. So that's why I asked about DVC.

Wait for guidance from DVC because the one event we attended needed the owner's name on the reservation plus their photo ID & blue card.

We are DVC, AP and Gold D23. I am only trying for the D23 so that my grandsons (even though one won't be able to ride) and future son in-law will be able to experience the preview. If we do not get the D23 for all of us then those of us that can ride will do so using via our AP or DVC.

But, I don't begrudge any of the people who have memberships DVC, AP and D23 Gold if they get multiple spots. I am sure there are Cast Member and their families that will get the preview and will also use another form of membership to experience again. Thousands upon thousands of $$$$$ for DVC and $$ for AP plus the $1xx for Gold D23 gives them the extra opportunity.

No, you will not be eligible for the DVC preview since you are not the owner.

Bright side is you have an AP! I think all of us on this forum will be able to preview it. fingers crossed for all of us

I think redboat45 may be referring to the bookings starting on the 20th for the DVC Moonlight Magic (after hours) Events at DHS.
