Got this high roller survey question today...

What's weird though is that if you answered that you were familiar with all those other things, you'd already know about the (included) Valet parking at the Grand. This question makes it seem like this is a parking option that is clearly available to anyone who wants it.
Especially because it's specifically called "theme park parking." The whole wording of that item sounds very much like it's not talking about Valet at the Grand to me. 🤷‍♀️ I guess we'll see if any other valet option ever materializes...

Well, the survey clearly says all these are ALREADY available. I'm gonna ask next time I'm there. That's why I screenshot that question. I want to know where this valet parking is!

This is on the Disneyland parking page right under the hotels section:

Parking for Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park and the Downtown Disney District is not permitted at hotel parking locations.

Maybe it's a verification question? Sometimes with online surveys, you throw in a question just to check that the person is paying attention. Sort of like a captcha to separate those answering honestly and those who are just clicking buttons. Maybe Disney is lying about its existence to catch survey respondents who are lying about knowing about its existence.

Reads like another poorly constructed survey. Even if you KNOW about the things they are asking, seems they would also ask if you ever plan to USE them and/or what prevents you from doing so .............such as cost/availability/convenience/etc.?

Maybe that will be a follow up survey. 😆

How do you explain this then, just further down on the page?

The answer option 'very familiar' isn't really helping WDTC. It can be interpreted as you are very familiar with the options because you are purchasing these already or because you spent 24/7 on Disboards and know more than the average CM? :ssst:

I imagine they could set up a valet off of Harbor where all the buses and shuttles go. That would be close to the gates and avoid the parking lots, as the survey says.

But like everyone else, I haven’t heard of any park-oriented valet that is separate from the hotels.

If such a thing does exist, I would be inclined to use it on some occasions depending on the situation and who I’m with.

We would have totally used this when my mother in law joined us one day this summer. That walk to the structure was brutal.

I considered trying to get a group together to split it for my 40th next year... it'd be so cool.
Um...I'm in if you need someone! Completely serious.

There was a thread about this pre-Covid. There were enough people at that time to make it work, and I was one of them, so if this is really a thing, count me in! You might look up (DISboarder) Whatever, as he made some amazing trip reports about it and has all the scoop, and I'm pretty sure he'd love to participate.

On a side note, before I wrote "DISboarder" I put down "DISmember" but that sounded a bit dark...

Did anyone else get a notification that "your post was quoted" in this thread when you have not, actually, posted anything?

Very odd

It is confusing, but I know there are people who have paid the $105 a day for valet, with the hotel's knowledge that they were going to the park. Why would they have the part I posted if it wasn't available. That said, I am going to ask and see if I can get an answer.

The area is too small to keep the ART buses and have valet.

I was going to say "Whoever", but it was said. I think he and Mrs. Whoever are still working on a gruop.

Well, they could have valet parking available at the hotels for lots of reasons that have nothing to do with visiting the parks. Eating in one of the restaurants or just hanging in the lounge, visiting friends or relatives who are staying there, having a spa treatment...

Come to think of it... has there always been a covered awning thing in the middle of the tram drop-off area? My daughter and I were commenting on it on Monday and how it looked new. But we never used the parking structure before... I wonder if they're setting that up for Valet?
Are you talking about the empty four post semi permanent structure in the tram loop by word of Disney? If so there was a picture car from Cruella on display that has now been removed, they have yet to remove the surrounding structure.

Surveys are sometimes created to help justify something they want to do. My guess is they want to increase their marketing/advertising budget and slanted the questions to help rationalize that 'enough people aren't familiar with X, so we should spend more on advertising'.

I really think the last thing they should do right now is increase advertising for these kinds of premium experiences. They are NOT in a good place, PR wise, on that front.
