Got suckered by Connections, but I think that ok

Today is the 30 day mark for my Connections membership. I called to cancel it and was offered $60 worth of utility bill, grocery bill, etc vouchers sent to me. (I send the voucher in with a copy of the bill and they credit me the money type of deal) So, I said ok and kept the membership. With the $25 gas voucher I got for signing up, I have come out $5 ahead of the $80 membership fee. So, I guess this year the family is getting giftcertificates for Xmas! LOL And, if we go back to WDW in the year, I can always get more meal vouchers...................This is as bad as having an AP!

I've seen posts about how difficult it is to redeem vouchers from them. They send you a form that you have to return, then if you're lucky they send you the voucher which you then have to send back. They offer the vouchers instead of a credit because they know that they will never pay out most of the voucher money.

I am very persistant if they do not honor what they say. If they say 2 billing cycles, then the credit should be there, if not, I start the calls. LOL With the mail in vouchers, I will call, also. If it gets "lost in the mail", I can always fax them a copy. I figure they would rather send me a check or credit my account than have to talk to me every day. I can always call my cc company, too. Let them know that the people they paid are not fulfilling their obligation. Hey, I do all of the above with the insurance company, I should be used to it, right? LOL

I think you did GREAT! Just keep good records, that's all.... It's like that with ANY rebate you send in... half the time they get "lost" in the mail, but that's okay, I kept copies I tell them!!

When I received the 79.95 charge on my credit card statement, I called connections and told them that I had heard of a 69.95 dea being offered. She gave me an 800 number to call and the lady said I can offer you something better--the $60 check toward groceries or utilities. I did not get it yet--but will keep you posted.
