should I keep on watching? I do have an annual pass (which is why I am making this trip!!) Through SoG I will be at CR from Feb 5 to Feb 9. On Feb 9 to Feb 13 I transfer to the Poly for $175 per nite plus tax.

I can't stay at the CR for my whole vacation because there is no availablity for the last part of my vac. I was offered Port Orleans for $79 a night, but I was afraid I would be very disappointed to transfer to a moderate after starting my vacation at a deluxe.

My first four nites at the CR will be about $79 per nite plus tax. So I will have 8 nites at deluxe monorail resorts for a little less than $1200 including tax instead of 4 nites at a deluxe and 4 nites at a moderate for a little under $800. Tell me I making the right decision! What would you do???

The $175 rate at the Poly looks pretty good! The AP rate was $170. I'm assuming it's Garden View.

The $79 at the CR is awesome!

I don't think you'll be disappointed at POR, but if you can afford the Poly rate (and I think it's a good one), then go for it!

Have fun! :D

I think your rates are excellent! Enjoy your good fortune!

Our first stay at CR (garden wings), we paid $600/night.

That is a very good rate. It's not always easy to get a discount at the Poly. They fill up very fast. You will love it there.

What is SoG? I have AP, but they have not released the rates yet.

EDIT:

Oh..is that a AF rate...damn...I had the Fl Resident rate at 180 at the Poly a few years ago...TAKE IT!!! Great Deal!

SoG is Shades of Green, a resort available to military and DOD people. It is currently under construction, so it has rooms at the CR and POR for its usual rates at SoG. Rates are based on rank. Once it is operational we probably won't go any where else since it is so affordable as well as convenient and really nice.

I am usually a tight with a dollar do we always stay at SoG or at the hotel offering the SoG price, but I have always wanted to stay at the Poly, so I think at this rate for 4 nights I will bite the bullet. After all it is only once. Thanks for the input.

We stayed at CR through SOG last year. It was okay. This year we chose to take the overflow rate and split our stay between the BC and the Poly. The Poly rate was $189 (that included tax) for a garden view. We stayed in the Samoa building on the ground floor and were 5 steps away from the Volcano pool, the beach and Captain Cooks snack bar. We love the Poly and hope to be able to go back again someday. I would definitely splurge!

I'm curious about what the expansion to SOG will do to overflow rates. I assume they won't be readily available since SOG will have to fill first. That will definitely make a difference for us as we've stayed at many places on an SOG overflow, but have never actually stayed at SOG.

HAVE FUN!!!
